MAHATMA

I will introduce the Indian restaurant 'MAHATMA'. There are 5 locations in Kanagawa. I went to MAHATMA Kokudou 129 gouten. It's about 8 minutes by car from Soubudaishita Station. This restaurant is open seven days a week year-round. Lunch time is 11:00 to 17:00, Dinner time is 17:00 to 22:00. Local chefs make handmade nan and curry roux in this restaurant. This restaurant's interior is like an Indian cafeteria. Indian curry is often considered spicy, but India is massive, so there are differences in taste by region. General households with children in India's don't eat fiery hot curry. Chefs are adventurous with spices to bring out the food qualities.

I went to this restaurant at lunch time. The seats were large, so I felt good. I ordered the B set (¥670). I chose Chicken curry, Mutton (lamb) curry and Nan. I liked the chicken curry; it was very nice. Mutton curry had a little sheep smell, but it was delicious. The nan was large, so it protruded from my plate. I was really full. I think Mutton curry is rare, so you'd better choose Mutton curry. In this restaurant, you can choose from 5 types of curry, Chicken, Vegetable, Dall (豆), Mutton and today' special. And you can choose 4 levels of spice, normal, hot, spicy and hot spicy. Staff said “Spicy is very spicy, I recommend normal.” Also you can choose Nan or Turmeric rice. 

I recommend this restaurant because there are many menu items. You can choose what you like from a lot of kind. The staff was kind. They pour water into a cup. The price is cheap, but it is delicious! Let's try it.
